Rosson Crow

Vigorously layering oil, enamel, and spray paint, Crow has managed to capture the art world's imagination with colourful dreamscapes that mix stately interiors and eighteenth-century English gardens with up-to-date drips and fluorescent hues.
It is important when using inspiration from the past to create something that is original and relevant for today rather than copy what has already been done. She has done this by combining old and new techniques to make the paintings look sleek from far away but upon closer inspection there are actually chips; there's a rawness.
Her work is shown in Paris, New York and London galleries, which is such an achievement for the age of 23. It suggests that success doesn't always rely on experience but talent and ambition.
